Illness Prevention Do You Think We Should Test High Schools Students For Mental Illness Before Sending Them Off To College?

Do you think we should test high schools students for mental illness before sending them off to college? - illness prevention

The university, military, and other changes in life often solve serious mental illness.

Physical illness in general say that prevention is better than cure.

If we can identify mental illness earlier, before college, then we might prevent or control can help.

Do you think we should test all students in the school before leaving the real world? This can be done to explain to children why vaccinations?

I doubt that mental illness can, with an accuracy, or psychiatry and psychology has much to be predicted in terms of providing useful information on the subject, with the exception of the pharmacology of sedatives and prisons for less cooperative.

You gotta be kidding. Many psychiatric disorders have run a stop to hold. In addition, there are not enough qualified auditors in the school system to cope with the load, and would be prohibitively expensive. Thirdly, many of us suffer from a mental illness do well in school (I taught). Fourh, mental illness, not "prevent" is the mother of the brain's chemistry. Fifthly, you can not test for mental illness before (they only identify vulnerable people at times, but certainly) not reliable.
I suggest that research on mental illness, before such statements!

The university is a place where many people are only a few able to be accepted in a large group. For some who do not take it personally and move on, but for some it is pursuing them.

Even if they forget to think of their abilities and talents, why are not accepted and leads to disaster.

And it should not be accepted in all the criteria for admission, but for people who develop their ideas and their expertise should be the criteria.

For example, a conversation with a consultant before it is a site not hurt and not those who have time to take things easy and to easily find your way from friends and groups and contribute to the ability to polish that they are good.

young healthy volunteers for early signs of mental illness?

one might say, "prevention is better than cure".

But I think it's probably on the wrong tree.

If you're [focusing on the real life, college life, military service and major changes in life often] trigger, the evidence of young people before they have a lot of life experience is similar to the cart before the horse - ounce for ounce -- Wasted prevention.

The army is not a psychological report ...

You know, I think almost every person is mentally ill in some way. We all hurt, anger and resentment. And we struggle with these issues. That's life.

We could give a test for all students to see if they have a heartbeat, and human.

Yes, there are serious mental illnesses: schizophrenia, multiple personality, etc. They should be treated. But why see the mass hysteria when all ADD or ADHD? I took a look at some of my classes and I teach students ever heard of ADD or ADHD. I am in Eastern Europe. I think this is a witch hunt phenomonem ADHD ADD U.S..
